Quality Education – Not Just for the Rich

Together with additional organizations and partners, IAEJ appealed to the High Court of Justice against the new parents’ payments practice announced by the Ministry of Education. The new practice does not limit payment collection from parents who can afford to do so. Moreover, it strengthens private, separate education within the public system, destroying public education and segregating between those who can afford the extra expense and those who cannot. The appeal petitions to cancel parents’ payments as well as fees charged for additional hours in secondary schools.
